Current Employment Opportunities:

In-Home CNA (Part-Time):  Be the Key to our wonderful clients through helping them remain happy and healthy in thier own homes!  We are currently looking for CNA's to work primarily weekends along with two (2) additional CNA's to work in the Poiniana area two (2) in the Kissimmee/Saint Cloud area. 


In-Home Home Health Aide (Part-Time):  Responsible for providing comprehensive care including aspects of both housekeeping and personal care, which are incidental to the care provided, essential to the client's health and welfare.  Home Health Aide must have documentation of completion of at least forty hours of training, pursuant to Section 400.497(1), F.S.  


 In-Home Homemaker (Part-Time):  Responsible for providing housekeeping activities to clients as assigned by the scheduling supervisor.  This position requires knowledge and experience with housekeeping as well as understanding of the needs of the frail elder clients and how to communicate with them.


 Congregate Dining Club Site Manager (Part-Time):  Responsible for overseeing and supervising the congregate (dining club) meal site including making decisions regarding food service and site cleanliness. This position requires the ability to work with considerable independence within the established rules, regulations, and procedures. Also, must be able to supervise volunteer staff.


In-Home& Full Pay Services Director (Full-Time)  *Bilingual in Spanish:  



Responsible for the administration and management of all In Home & Full-Pay Service operations to include homemaker, personal care, and home nursing services, as well as all Full-Pay services for the various departments within the OCOA. Supervise and coordinate work assignments for staff and ensure all program documentation is completed.


1)     Responsible for compliance with all licensure requirements for in-home services as well as quality assurance.

2)     Oversee and supervise all duties and activities of in-home services staff and ensure quality assurance of the services within the department.

3)     Responsible for evaluating home care workers and conducting their 90 day evaluations. Also, ensure activities in the care plan are being carried out properly.

4)     Oversee and coordinate the increase of community awareness of the Council on Aging's Full-Pay services for all departments by marketing to potential clients within the community.

5)     Act as liaison for problem resolution between department staff and coordination of incident reports.

6)     Ensure policies and procedures, as well as the appropriate guidelines of services are followed by staff.

7)     Coordinate monthly meeting for in-home services support staff.

8)     Coordinate monthly in-service training as well as mandatory required training for support staff.

9)     Oversees bi-weekly time sheets for applicable employees.

10)   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by contract guidelines.

11)  Develop procedural, training, and reporting systems to provide useful data for planning and information purposes for staff and other involved parties.

12)  Follow all policies and procedures of the Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc.

13)  Other duties as assigned that are applicable to job description including

assist in times of disaster as needed.


Education/Training:                             Must be a Registered Nurse.  Ability to read and write, carry out written and verbal instructions and complete required reports. Bilingual in Spanish

Licensure/Certification:                        R.N.

Experience:                                          Minimum of two years nursing experience and one year of program management.  Must be able to communicate with the elderly and understand their needs.  One to two years experience working with seniors preferred with the proven ability to provide a comprehensive care program to the frailest of clients.  Knowledge of Windows based applications.  Must be able to effectively organize and maintain accurate records.

Interpersonal Skills:                             Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of groups and individuals.

Essential Technical/Motor Skills:         Sufficient skills to be able to read and write effectively. 

Essential Mental Abilities:                    Knowledgeable and competent to perform all essential functions.

Essential Sensory Requirements:         Ability to visually and audibly perform all essential functions.

Essential Physical requirements:         Must be able to sit for long periods of time.  Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility and community, have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  This position may require occasional bending and lifting subject to specific physical requirements and working conditions as listed in job duties.

Exposure to Hazards:                           None


Other:                                                   Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.  Strong general knowledge of computer.  Must be Bilingual in Spanish.
