Current Employment Opportunities:

In-Home CNA (Part-Time):  Be the Key to our wonderful clients by helping them remain happy and healthy in their own homes!  We are currently looking for CNA's to work primarily weekends along with two (2) additional CNA's to work in the Poinciana area two (2) in the Kissimmee/Saint Cloud area.

 Must have smartphone and reliable transportation. 

In-Home Home Health Aide (Part-Time): Responsible for providing comprehensive care including aspects of both housekeeping and personal care, which are incidental to the care provided, essential to the client's health and welfare.  Home Health Aide must have documentation of completion of at least forty hours of training, pursuant to Section 400.497(1), F.S.

Must have smartphone and reliable transportation.  

Maintenance Technician:  Perform duties to maintain the safety, operation, and aesthetics of general and mechanical elements of grounds, buildings, amenities, and apartments of assigned property in condition that meets established quality standards, working within the limits of standard methods and procedures.

HVAC Certification a definite plus. 

1)  Work from checklists, schedules, service requests, and instructions. Respond to maintenance calls regarding tenants' housing to include, but not limited to, home repairs, leaks, toilet repairs/maintenance, changing light bulbs and lock/door issues.

2)  Respond to assigned service requests to investigate and make routine mechanical repairs to damaged or broken apartment or amenity elements as reported by residents or staff. Examine the reported problems, determine the extent of repairs, materials, and supplies required and make routine repairs to damaged or broken units.

3)  Paint any range of interior and exterior surfaces and fixtures at assigned properties, including apartments, community areas, and amenity areas, speed bumps, signs, posts, gates, street markings, and handrails. Touch up building exterior surfaces as required. Clean and prepare surfaces, pressure washing as appropriate. Apply caulk around doors, windows, or on breezeway floors to repair surfaces. Patch and repair drywall and stucco surfaces, matching textures on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as required. Select proper coatings and colors. Paint entire surface or touch up paint as required ensuring compliance with aesthetic standards.

4)   Process assigned area of grounds in keeping with schedules and checklists. Pick up trash, empty trash bins, and replace trash bags. Move trash to dumpster areas and clean, pressure wash, and sanitize dumpster and immediate area. Blow, sweep, pressure wash, and clean sides of buildings, stairs, and breezeways. Clean light globes, remove cobwebs and otherwise ensure the cleanliness of building exteriors and areas around and between buildings. Pressure wash building walls, breezeways, sidewalks, and other assigned.

5)   Perform assigned range of preventive maintenance routines including change filters, check smoke detectors and replace batteries as required, change light bulbs, and perform damage inspections.

6)   Assist to move appliances into and from apartments and to empty apartments of discarded personal belongings and trash left in vacated apartment homes.

7)   Observe property grounds and notify the supervisor of safety hazards, property damage or unsightly conditions on grounds. Notify the supervisor of the need to replenish materials and supplies when used. Store and maintain supplies and materials in keeping with procedures and standards inventory system.

8)  Available for “on-call” duty, nights and weekends on a rotating and as-needed basis and at all properties of the Osceola Council on Aging.

9)  Clean common areas to include bathroom, mopping floors (including laundry area),   vacuum carpet, and empty garbage in clubhouse, office and mailbox area.

10)   Follow all policies and procedures of the Osceola Council on Aging.

 11) Other duties as assigned to include assisting in times of disaster as needed (refer to disaster task sheet).

 

Custodian:  Responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of the Osceola Council on Aging building and grounds, as well as the overall safety of clients, staff and event attendees. This role is also, responsible for ensuring a positive experience from groups that are utilizing our facility on a rental basis or any other circumstances. This is achieved through timely and successful multi-room set up, break down, reset and cleanliness for activities that are scheduled.

 1)          Clean the designated areas around the building, sweep and mop floors, vacuum the hallway floors, empty trash cans as assigned.

2)          Clean designated areas per procedure for the given areas.

3)          On-Call for all accidental spills and bathroom clean up.

4)          Check all doors to ensure they are locked and the alarm is set when necessary.

5)          Responsible to be at the facility during all required times assigned due to events and/or assigned custodial needs.

6)          Responsible for timely and successful multi-room set up, break down, reset and cleanliness.

7)          Be alert to the requirements and needs of the individuals or groups utilizing our facility to ensure a positive experience.

8)          Assist with mowing/ trimming facility grounds as requested.

9)          Follow all policies and procedures of the OCOA.

10)       Other responsibilities as assigned. 

 

 Chore Worker/Weatherization Coordinator:    Perform home and/or yard tasks including household repairs, household maintenance, pest control, yard work, seasonal cleaning, etc. for eligible persons who are unable to accomplish these tasks for themselves. 

1)     Perform the necessary chores, home repairs, maintenance or adaptable housing services needed by clients as assigned by the supervisor.

2)     Maintain proper and complete records for the Chore/Home repair program.

3)     Assist supervisor with the coordination and supervision of volunteers for Chore/Home Repair services.

4)     Perform weatherization testing and coordinate contractors to complete approved work.

5)     Verify the completion of the weatherization work order per state guidelines.

6)     Follow all policies and procedures of the Osceola Council on Aging.

7)     Other duties as assigned, to include assisting in times of disaster as needed.  

Meals On Wheels Driver Coordinator Assistant:  Responsible for the coordination of the volunteer drivers for the Home Delivered Meals Program in their area. 

1) Keep an updated volunteer list with names, addresses, phone numbers, and date volunteer came to the program.

2) Maintain MOW driver contact.

3) Make necessary substitutions or accomplish the delivery of the MOW route themselves when volunteers are not available.

4) Maintain MOW route arrangements.

5) Assist with mapping routes for the MOW drivers.

6) Coordinate MOW meal drop-off sites.

7) Deliver MOW route(s), as needed.

8) Maintain MOW records and files as needed to efficiently accomplish the job.

9) Distribute donation envelopes and other announcements as requested by the Supervisor.

10) Conduct community outreach as needed or requested.

11) Follow all policies and procedures of the Osceola Council on Aging.

12) Other duties as assigned, to include assisting in times of disaster as needed.    

  

Housing Assistant:  Responsible to assist general compliance and operations of all rental units under the direction of the OCOA Housing Board. Assist in the supervision of housing staff and volunteers. Support Property Manager to ensure all shared duties are completed as required.
